Summary
This fall 40 local charities have received up to $5,000 in funds through The Guelph Community Foundation’s Community Grant program!
The GCF Grants Committee and staff are pleased to announce the forty (!) 2022 Community Grant Recipients!
The funding decision was made by the Grants Committee on September 07, 2022 and approved by the Board of Directors on September 08, 2022. This year the decision was a particularly challenging one as GCF had received the highest number of applications ever for this program. GCF’s Community Grants provides dollars to registered charities (or non-profit organizations partnered with a registered charity) operating in Guelph or Wellington County. To best provide for those serving our community, and with an understanding of the ongoing pressures of Covid-19, for the first time ever GCF was able to open applications up beyond just programming, and now accept applications for operational funds and capital projects. The Community Grants application period was from Monday, July 11 – Monday, August 15, 2022. Funding of up to $5,000 was made available for applicants. The granting criteria for charitable organizations seeking funding their application must fit within the framework of Toward Common Ground well-being concepts and connects to one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We would like to share our thanks to the GCF Grants Committee members, investors, fund holders and community supporters. We are so grateful to be able to have such an impact in our community and are excited to share the grant impact stories in our 2022 Impact Report next year!
