The GCF board and staff are pleased to share the 2023 Musagetes Fund recipients. The funding decision was made by the fundholders the week of May 8, 2023 to distribute $49,180 to eleven charitable organizations in Guelph and Wellington County. Since 2004, this donor advised granting stream has been providing grants to registered charities (or organizations partnered with a registered charity) that provide contemporary art and culture programming.
Applications for The Musagetes Fund were accepted from February 27 – April 10, 2023 online through the Guelph Community Foundation’s granting portal for project or operational funding requests. The grant is particularly interested in funding new approaches to building community and culture. Preference was given to organizations that engage a community-based partner who satisfies a connection(s) to social justice, environmental resilience, and intercultural relationships through the arts.
