Volunteers

The Guelph Community Foundation was formed by a group of friends who wanted to support all the good work being done by many organizations in their community. People continue that work s volunteers donating hours every year in operational and advisory roles. Like the grantees supported by funds from the Guelph Community Foundation, volunteers power our work to amplify, connect and support all the good being done in our community. It is volunteers’ skills, time, and energy that allow us to strengthen and support our community through philanthropic leadership.

Board of Directors


Role: With Guelph and Wellington County interests in mind, our Board oversee operations, provide overall direction,
fiduciary oversight and ensure resource capacity to achieve our strategic priorities.
Members of the Board also uplift Foundation activities through participation and support.
Terms: Board terms are three years and commence at the Annual General Meeting in late spring.
A maximum of three terms may be served.
The Board as a whole elects a chair, vice chair and secretary-treasurer.
Recruitment Process: Our Nominating Committee includes Board and community members.
Its purpose is to search for, and meet with, community members interested in serving as volunteer Directors and Committee members.
